Health & Safety

As licensed healthcare practitioners, Registered Acupuncturists are considered essential services so we are fortunate to be able to continue in-person appointments, in compliance COVID-19 safety protocols mandated by the Ontario Ministry of Health.

Health & Safety is my number one priority, so here are the heightened measures in place to keep you, your family, our greater community and myself as healthy as possible:

Before your appointment

1. Check your email up to 2 hours before your appointment to complete a mandatory COVID-19 pre-screening survey.

If you don’t meet the pre-screening requirements we will reschedule your appointment free of charge.

Preparing for your appointment

2. Masks (3-layer) are mandatory and will stay on for the duration of your treatment

3. Dress warmly: if you arrive early you’ll be waiting outdoors until I am ready to bring you in

4. Bring socks: you’ll remove your shoes upon entering

5. Only contactless payment will be accepted (Mastercard, VISA or e-Transfer)

On arrival

6. You’ll be pre-screened for temperature (under 37.4) and oxygen saturation (over 95%)

7. Before entering the treatment room, you’ll wash your hands (and I’ll wash mine)

Treatment room and practitioner preparation

8. All surfaces are disinfected between clients (including massage table, headrest, desk, light switches, doorknobs, etc).

9. An air filtration system is on throughout the day and there is at least a 15 minute gap between clients to allow time for linen change and room disinfection

10. Your practitioner (me!) is fully vaccinated, screens her own temperature and oxygen saturation at the beginning of each shift, wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPE – daily scrubs, KN95 mask and protective eyewear/gloves as appropriate), and is frequently hand-washing

11. As usual, treatment table linens are single-use (laundered), and sterile acupuncture needles are single use / disposable

12. The treatment room floor is disinfected at the end of each day.
